Los Angeles Lakers coach JJ Redick preached about ‘choice’ when they were blown out by the Phoenix Suns the other day. He talked about how they come to the game prepared and it is up to the players to make a choice of showing up.

“We practice this stuff enough,” Redick said about his team on Tuesday.
“We review this stuff enough. We show film on this stuff enough that to me, it like comes down to … just making the choice. It’s making the choice.”
He finished it by saying that his squad has a history of responding to challenges thrown at them and they will show up for their Christmas game against the Houston Rockets.
How did it go? Another game, another blow out loss for the Purple and Gold and the mood is gloomy right now for them.
Lakers lost by 23 points and the game was never within their reach since the first quarter when their visitors built a 12-point lead. All members of the Rockets starting five scored in double digit, led by Kevin Durant who scored 25 points. Rockets are in a desperate mode after losing three straight before the visit to the Lakers arena.

As for LA, he had 25 points in losing effort while Lebron James had 18 and game worst -33 in plus/minus.
JJ Redick is livid
Lakers players did not make a choice again. That’s what Redick saw and made sure to call them out during a talk with the reporters. He even went on that there are guys who have been doing that.
“It’s a matter of making the choice, and too often we have guys that don’t want to make that choice. It’s pretty consistent who those guys are,” he said.
“Saturday’s practice, I told the guys, it’s going to be uncomfortable. Meeting is going to be uncomfortable. I’m not doing another 53 games like this.”

He also said that his team does not care enough about what they do.
“We don’t care enough right now. That’s the part that bothers me a lot. We don’t care enough to do the things that are necessary. We don’t care enough to be professional.”
Lakers will have a two-day rest before going back into action to host the Sacramento Kings.
