Some analysts think the Philadelphia 76ers have the capability to go all the way this season if only they can stay healthy. That condition is mostly about Joel Embiid and the belief that the Eastern Conference is wide open.

Embiid has been playing well lately and is showing that he is close to returning to his 2023 MVP form. However, they are still inconsistent. They can win games against good teams and then lose to the bad ones.
Health is not their only issues anymore. Embiid suggested that they can still improve roster-wise.
“In the past, we’ve been ducking the tax, so hopefully we think about improving [the team at the deadline], because we got a chance,” Embiid said when asked about his opinion on the trade deadline.
“I hope that at least we get a chance to just go out and compete, because we got a good group of guys in this locker room, and the vibes are great.”

Joel Embiid’s beast form
Sixers as a whole are inconsistent but that’s not the word that one can throw at Embiid this January. His doubters might be seething right now.
Sixers are coming off a win over the Sacramento Kings through the lead of the 7x All-Star who scored 37 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out eight assists.
Tyrese Maxey had 40 points while Paul George had 15.
Embiid is enjoying the game again and playing like he’s totally free of knee injury. His minutes restrictions, which he criticized before, is no longer there and it is paying off for him.
He scored at least 30 points in the last five of his six games. He had 29 in the other one.

He also set a personal record according to StatMuse.
