Kendrick Perkins recently said that Jonathan Kuminga should just move on from the Golden State Warriors because his current team just doesn’t want him.

Warriors haven’t signed any major players this offseason but their biggest story so far centers on their free agent 2021 seventh overall pick as the two camps are on a stalemate regarding his new contract.
“I don’t know if Jonathan Kuminga watches NBA Today, but they don’t want you, dawg. They don’t value you because if they did, you wouldn’t be going through this,” Perkins said in his show.
His teammate previously said that the team is waiting on him to make a decision and that they wanted him back.

“No matter how (Kuminga)’s situation is resolved, it doesn’t change how we view JK as a person, as a player. Obviously, we all want him to be in the Golden State. It doesn’t change anything,” Podziemski said three weeks ago.
Is Kuminga really not wanted or he just wants to raise his value, something that he has a right to do?
Jonathan Kuminga declined $72 million deal
NBA insider Shams Charania recently released a report on the Kuminga situation, debunking Perkins take on the 22 year old forward.
Charania said Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob himself had to talk to him and discuss their offer for him. They previously offered him a $21 million deal next season. He reportedly rejected it.

And so, the Warriors raised their offer.
The Warriors have strengthened their effort. Late last week, Dunleavy offered Kuminga a three-year, $75.2 million deal with a team option in the third season, sources told ESPN.
Problem is, Kuminga, who averaged 15.3 points in 47 games last season, still turned it down.
Charania said Kuminga’s camp specifically did not want the final year to be a team option. They can only accept a deal with team option if the annual salary will amount to $30 million. The contract Warriors are willing to agree on with him without team option is three years and $54 million fully guaranteed.
Charania said Warriors’ next roster activity hinges on Kuminga’s decision but with this latest stalemate, looks like it will be a long, painful pre-season for the Dubs.
