The New York Knicks will be without one of their key players when they take on the Golden State Warriors on Monday night at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks entered their Tuesday night contest riding a three-game winning streak.
However, the Knicks could face significant turbulence ahead. Karl-Anthony Towns will not play against the Warriors. It’s not clear when the star center will return to the court.
NBA News: New York Knicks could be without KAT for a while

Per Kristian Winfield of NY Daily News, New York head coach Tom Thibodeau said KAT might not play during the team’s West Coast trip while he deals with personal issues.
“Thibs says he doesn’t know if Karl-Anthony Towns (personal reasons) will make the West Coast road trip with the Knicks,” Winfield posted on X. “Says KAT needs some time and when he’s ready to come back, he’ll come back.”

Towns could miss significant time if he does not travel with the Knicks.
Karl-Anthony Towns could miss several games

Following their home game against the Warriors, the Knicks will start their West Coast road trip against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. They’ll play on the road versus the LA Clippers, Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers, and finish up with the Golden State Warriors on March 15.
At 29, Towns has played in 54 games this season. He’s averaging 24.5 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game. He scored 19 points and added 16 rebounds in the Knicks’ 116-112 win over the Miami Heat in overtime on Sunday.
Fortunately for New York, the team has built a five-game buffer on the Milwaukee Bucks for the No. 3 record in the Eastern Conference at 40-20.
