Golden State Valkyries star Kate Martin gave props to Valkyries teammate Veronia Burton, for the recent WNBA award that the latter received.

Over at her Instagram story, Kate Martin shared a post congratulating her teammate, Veronica Burton, for recently receiving the Most Improved Player award this season. She added her short but sweet comment, too.

    “Let’s gooooooo,” Martin wrote.

Veronic Burton has been named the Associated Press Most Improved Player for the 2025 season, after a panel of ESPN analysts and reporters covering the WNBA voted from a list of nominated players. Burton has been instrumental in the playoff debut of the Valkyries, as the franchise also played its debut season in the league.

“Pheww, God is good and He is faithful!!” Burton posted on her social media. “From getting waived last year and now getting to hoop on a brand new franchise.. just really grateful for all of it.”

Kate Martin Reveals Her Diet and Health Routines

Golden State Valkyries star Kate Martin is living a demanding life of a professional athlete, and thus, it is essential for her to have a healthy diet routine and other healthy habits to keep herself in top shape for demanding games.

In a recent interview, Martin shared her morning routine and how a typical breakfast for her goes like. She highlighted how she always starts her day with proper hydration.

“I always try to drink some water before I leave the house, and then I’ll head to the practice facility,” she said. “When I’m there, I always eat egg whites, some fruit and toast. I’ll also have a coffee every morning. After that, I go into my mobility, weight lifting, etc. And then during practice, I’ll drink my water and have more electrolytes, and it just keeps me really hydrated and keeps me fueled throughout the long practice day.”

When it comes to game days, Martin also emphasized the importance of getting the proper nutrition to power her up in the court, and not just empty calories.

“For a pregame meal, I always eat chicken breasts and plain noodles,” she went on. “I just get in my protein and my carbs, and I have that pretty much every game day. If I’m not having noodles, then I’m having rice. And then postgame, a chicken Caesar wrap. I don’t know why, it’s just so good after a game.”
