Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard was not named an All-Star reserve on Sunday. The NBA announced which players will complete the two US and one World team for the main event of the 2026 All-Star Weekend. Despite having a great season, Leonard was snubbed.
Leonard is playing in one of his healthiest seasons. He’s appeared in 34 games, averaging 27.7 points and 6.1 rebounds on 49.6% shooting. Additionally, the two-time champion is leading the league in steals, averaging 2.1.
Despite a masterful season, he was not voted on by the head coaches. Ahead of the Clippers’ game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, coach Ty Lue shared his reaction.

“Yeah, it was tough. I mean, congratulations to all the guys who made it. They all deserved it as well,” Lue said. “But Kawhi, I think to me, over the last six weeks, has been the best player in the NBA. 50-40-90, averaging 28 points a game, and what he’s done to bring this team out of a hole after we started 6-21, to be where we are today.
“It was just tough to see. I feel bad for Kawhi, but happy for all of the other guys who got selected.”
Aside from Kawhi Leonard, star guard James Harden was also snubbed. That means, no star from the host team will be featured in the Feb. 15 game.
