Kelly Oubre had a strong reaction at the start of the season when it was reported that the Philadelphia 76ers are ready to move him out together with Andre Drummond. This was the time when the team’s campaign was bleak with their key players out.

“What happened to this place? And for those saying I’m garbage because my 3% went down,” he said in September last year.
“Still put up numbers and l’d Still cook you. I played through finger surgery’s on my (left hand) thumb and pinky for three years, but still put my soul in this shit. That’s one thing only GOD can take from me. Hope to see y’all soon. Godspeed.”
He was asked about his statement two weeks later and remained firm that he hated the idea of getting traded.
Oubre generally has his best years with the Sixers so far. He scored better with other teams but his role with them is more defined as he logs at least 30 minutes per game in the last three seasons in Philly.

He survived the first half of the season but it is something he’ll face again. Joel Embiid recently said that the Sixers should make a move and find someone in the market to make them better even if the vibes within the team is good.
Kelly Oubre on February trade deadline
They will be more compelled to find another player for rotation with the news of Paul George getting suspended for 25 games.
Oubre is not feeling too good with the trade deadline closing in.

“It does kinda stink a little bit to have a contract that is easily like washable you would say,” he said. “I’m putting in the work, showing up everyday, showing what I mean to this league and to this team and hopefully I cannot be in this position again.”
For now, he looks good on Nick Nurse’s rotation. He averages 14.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He recently had an all around game (19 and 10) to hel the Sixers to a win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
