Kevin Durant stirred the pot recently when he spoke about his nihilistic opinions on marriage in a conversation with Bobbi Althoff. Althoff quizzed KD on his thoughts on relationships and getting married, especially since the player is known for being extremely private about his personal life.

Durant was indeed engaged a long time back, but his fiancee broke it off before they could actually get married. Since then the legendary baller has been very private of his dates and his relationships, even though many rumors have been going around about his love life. When Althoff asked him about whether a prenup would make him change his mind, KD still seemed pessimistic about the whole thing.

“That’s not really a prenup, though, I mean you still have to, when you walk away, at least give something.” KD said.

“It’s like the word marriage, like what the relationship is, like do I want to be with this somebody every day and hang out with the same person every day. I think divorce is more of a realistic cuz the divorce percentage is higher.” Durant went on to explain.

“I have never really dreamt of having a wedding day. …When I got to the wedding, it’s like ‘oh it’s dope’ [but]…it’s not like a need to happen in my mind. But [wedding] is still a cool event.” KD added later.

In the same podcast episode, Kevin Durant also spoke about depressive episodes which he had in the past. Apparently, KD was ashamed of his skinny physique before, which eventually led him to develop poor self-esteem and struggle with depression.

Kevin Durant’s Marriage Remarks Get Mixed Reactions

Kevin Durant’s recent conversation with Bobbi Althoff had the legend spilling all kinds of tea, but his comments on marriage definitely stood out. KD’s comments brought about mixed reactions from fans, many who felt that the baller’s opinions are genuinely right.

“KD my spirit animal lmfao he’s literally me with that mindset. Married to the game all that matters (fire emoji x2) women will always throw themselves at you as long as you take care of yourself” one fan commented.

“Bro just wants to hoop and vibe, no wedding playlists involved” another fan sided with KD.

“You asking a mf who can’t even commit to a damn basketball team to commit to marriage? lol” still another trolled KD’s comments.

“Denzel, sam l Jackson, Jay z, ll cool j, ja rule, lebron, curry all have been with the same women for decades” another fan pointed out.

Kevin Durant’s remarks also had many fans feel that a question of this sort shouldn’t have been posed to a player, who has not been seen with a woman for so long. Meanwhile, still many other fans continue to hope that Durant gets a taste of wedded bliss sometime in the future.
