Houston Rockets star Kevin Durant is one of the most active players on social media. He frequently engages with his fans, either by mocking them on X (previously Twitter) or responding to them on Instagram. During his recent time online, however, he found a clip of former NBA guard Patrick Beverley talking about four-time All-Star guard Trae Young.
Players taking the All-Star game for granted was the first point of contention. Beverley agreed with the take and even posted his opinion on X. The thing is, the former defensive guard has never played in the All-Star game and that’s when Young chimed in.
“Because All-Stars take the game for granted. Not 1 All-Star on the court. good bump🏀🏀” Beverley posted.
“Relax. Let us speak for ourselves,” Young responded.

This led Beverley to criticize the Atlanta Hawks star, comparing his lack of playoff appearances and stating that they’re not on the same level.
“I don’t think he’s won enough to even speak to me,” Beverley said. “He’s been to the playoffs three times. I’ve been to the playoffs nine. My first seven years, I didn’t miss the playoffs at all. I’ve talked to people who played in Atlanta. They don’t wanna play there. Why? They don’t think he’s a good leader. They don’t think he’s a good teammate.”
The Houston Rockets star saw this and had to step in. He called out the three-time All-Defensive player.
“Aye. This s**t gettin outta hand man. Cmon Pat you sound delusional brother,” Durant said on social media.

Young has yet to respond to what the former Houston Rockets guard said. Fortunately for him, his fellow All-Star stepped in before things got out of hand.
The Houston Rockets star is interested in playing for Team USA in 2028

No one knows what Team USA’s roster for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics will look like. After all, the recent Olympic Games just happened last year.
However, certain NBA players have expressed interest in playing for their nation and possibly extending their gold medal-winning streak. One of the players who has expressed interest is Durant. The Houston Rockets star could win his fifth Olympic gold medal if he joins the roster in 2028.
However, he doesn’t want an easy ride with the team. According to the two-time NBA champion, he wants full involvement with the team.
“Yeah, [I’d want to join] if I’m still me. I don’t wanna be the veteran like ‘come sit on the bench and get your fifth,’” he said.
As for the other veteran stars (LeBron James and Stephen Curry), no one knows if they’ll still be active in the basketball world in 2028.
