Kevin Durant topscored for the Houston Rockets in their road win over the Milwaukee Bucks but the superstar insists it was a team win.

“We played very calmly in the tough moments of the game,” he said after the game. “We found clarity in our offense and it was a good team win.”
“My teammates found me in the right space and coach trusted me, we did a good job tonight.”
It was indeed a team effort with six players scoring in double digits and stepping it up in the fourth quarter. KD scored 31 points while his teammates disrupted the Bucks’ offense.
Giannis Antetokounmpo managed to score 37 points but he struggled in the last five minutes when they lost their lead they have held on since the second quarter.

The Bucks were up by 8 points by the 4:49 mark but the Rockets chipped it way little by little until they got the 115-113 lead by the 1:42 mark. From there, Bucks got lost in their possessions by rushing their plays while committing defensive lapses.
Kevin Durant praises Reed Sheppard
It was indeed a team win with six players scoring in double digits for the team. Four of starting five members scored 14 points and above. Josh Okogie scored no point and was limited to 17 minutes.
The reason behind that is the stellar play of Reed Sheppard who at the start of the season was being eyed as fifth starter. He played so nice he earned a space in Durant’s Instagram story. The second year guard was also the first teammate he hugged after the final buzzer.

Sheppard was instrumental in the win and stuck around until the final buzzer. He finished with 16 points, four out of 6 in the three point line. He also had four steals, one of which came against Giannis during the closing stretch.
The 2024 third overall is so far living up to the hype as he has scored in double digits in four of his last five. He currently averages 11.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.
