Are the Sacramento Kings getting better? Because if not, they might see their star player De’Aaron Fox leave.

The 2023 All-Star reportedly turned down a three-year extension at the start of the season as he wants to gauge first if he will stay with a team with winning in mind.
“For me, it has all to do with just the team, the organization where are we going,” Fox said during an appearance at ‘The Draymond Green Show with Baron Davis.’
“I want to make sure that we’re in a position to try to win in the future because that’s ultimately what I want to do. I know I’ll make enough money regardless of where I play or what I do. I’m going to be fine unless God forbid, knock on wood, I have a career-ending injury but aside from that like I feel like I’m continuing to get better as a player every year.”

Fox has been the most consistent player in the Kings line-up in the last six years. The team also decided they will build around him.
However, this only translated to one playoff appearance and one play-in.
Are the Kings and De’Aaron Fox on the same page?
It is easy to say that a franchise wants to win. However, the court performances will validate it.
The Kings somehow showed that they want to compere with their offseason moves by acquiring DeMar Derozan. The problem is wins remain hard to come by.

They are currently 13-14, good enough for a 12th spot in the Western Conference. They are 5-5 in their last 10, and even worse, 6-8 at home.
Fox, as the leader of the team, thinks their first half is always suspect. He knows they are not that good of a team yet.
“The thing about it is, you guys won’t see any of that in the stat sheets. You won’t see back cut after back cut in the stat sheet. Until our guys understand that it’s about embracing the details for 48 minutes, we’re going to be a good team, but we’re not going to be where we need to go,” he said after their Monday loss to the Denver Nuggets.
