Although the Sacramento Kings started out slow this season, the team has been gaining steam lately. This can be seen in point guard De’Aaron Fox‘s recent string of high-scoring games.

Fox has been a cornerstone for the Sacramento Kings since his arrival, yet his recent performances have reminded fans just how special he truly is. Over the past two games, he scored an astonishing 109 points, setting a franchise record. This included a career-high 60 points against Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves, followed by a remarkable 49 points against the Utah Jazz, showcasing his ability to dominate even when the team was missing key players.

The Kings faced significant challenges in these games, particularly with the absence of stars like DeMar DeRozan and Domantas Sabonis. Despite this, Fox stepped up to lead his team, almost single-handedly bringing Sacramento back from a 20-point deficit against the Timberwolves. His performance not only solidified his status within the franchise but also placed him among the elite scorers in recent NBA history.

The point guard’s 60-point game was particularly impressive given the Timberwolves’ strong defense, which features one of the league’s top shot-blockers. Even when exhausted, he found the energy to hit critical shots in overtime, demonstrating his resilience and determination. This kind of performance is what makes him a standout player, capable of turning the tide of a game.

At just 26 years old, Fox is still in the prime of his career. His evolution as a two-way player has made him a significant asset for Sacramento. As he continues to improve, there’s a growing sense that the best is yet to come for this talented guard.

There’s no doubt Fox has been on fire for Sacramento lately. This can be seen in a pair of tweets shared by StatMamba on X.

Fox made headlines with a remarkable two-game scoring spree, amassing 109 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz. His impressive 60-point performance against the Timberwolves set a new career high and marked the most points scored in a single game this NBA season.

Following this, he added 49 points against the Jazz, placing him alongside legends Kobe Bryant and Wilt Chamberlain in NBA history. The guard’s scoring prowess solidifies his position as one of the league’s elite players, showcasing his ability to dominate on the court.
