Fans have started wondering if there’s trouble between Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion.
When the Mavericks held media day on Monday, Thompson got hit with a question about his relationship with the rapper. His reply didn’t say much — and that silence got people talking.

“I’m not going to talk about that, but I will say every summer hasn’t changed for me,” he said. “Because I know what it takes to go the distance, and there’s really no such thing as an off-season.”
That was all he gave, but it was enough to send fans online trying to read between the lines. A few days later, though, Klay seemed to ease the noise when he dropped a batch of photos from media day — Megan included — with the caption, “The best thing in life is life.”
Simple, but it did the job.
Now stepping into his 13th NBA season, Thompson’s gearing up for his Mavericks debut when Dallas faces the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder to open the preseason.

More of Max and Less of Klay Thompson? Jason Kidd Hints at a Changing Role
But while his off-court life is grabbing headlines, there’s also curiosity about Klay Thompson’s evolving role on the floor.
Head coach Jason Kidd dropped big praise for Max Christie over the weekend, hinting that the young guard could see a much larger role this season.
“You can see the hard work that he’s put in this summer is a carryover as to why he’s having success now,” Kidd said. “For him, we’re gonna need him. He can start, he can come off the bench, so he’s going to play a lot of minutes for us.”

Christie’s length, quickness, and defensive instincts make him an easy fit beside Luka Dončić — and if he keeps playing at this level, it could mean fewer minutes for Klay.
At 34, Thompson isn’t quite the flamethrower he was in his Warriors days. He averaged 14.0 points and 3.4 rebounds over 72 games last season. Christie, meanwhile, put up 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in limited action after arriving in Dallas.
The Mavs will still count on Klay’s veteran presence, but it’s clear Kidd wants to see what the young guy can do.
