It looks like Karl-Anthony Towns is loving every minute with the New York Knicks both on and off the court. The 2015 first overall pick saw his tenure with the Minnesota Timberwolves come to an end before the start of last season following a blockbuster traded that sent him to the Big Apple and his former team getting Julius Randle.

He instantly got back to work for his new team and helped them reach the Eastern Conference finals although the lost to the Indiana Pacers. His individual performance was rewarded still as he was named to the All-Star Game and the All-NBA Third Team, the third in his career.
KAT is comfortable with where he is now but he admitted that he found the trade a little hard to take.
“Obviously, it stung. I built my life there. It’s kinda like that first breakup,” Towns said during an appearance at The Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon.

He then added that getting to the Knicks was “pretty cool”. Towns grew up in New Jersey so that helped with him accepting the fact.
“I’ll be able to see my grandmother more, and I can see my niece and nephew grow up,” he said back in October last year.
Karl-Anthony Towns sends love to Minnesota
The trade was seen as a win-win for both Knicks and the Wolves and while there are initial protests about it, it is all love between the parties involved.
Towns said he is thankful for his time in Minnesota which saw him play in four All-Star Games (total of five now) and two All-NBA team appearances.

He was initially hurt but he understood what’s going and thankful for the respect the community gave him.
“The Timberwolves treated me with nothing but love and respect,” he said.
“To have those years there, and finally see success happening with our team there, it was awesome. The fans appreciated it a bunch.”
