Dalton Knecht and the Los Angeles Lakers keep the good times rolling, as they stretched their win streak to five games after taking down the New Orleans Pelicans on the road Saturday night to the tune of 104-99 score.
Knecht played a pivotal role in Los Angeles’ victory, with the rookie finding his groove and dropping 27 points on 10-for-17 shooting from the floor, including five 3-pointers. He also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out two assists, and recorded two steals in 37 minutes.
It was not just a big game for Knecht. It was also a historic one.

Dalton Knecht had a night during Lakers vs. Pelicans

Knecht got hot in the second half, where he poured in 17 points on 6-for-10 shooting. He was tied with Anthony Davis for most points among Lakers players in the final two quarters of the showdown versus the Pelicans at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
Knecht, who was taken by the Lakers 17th overall in the first round of the 2024 NBA draft, has found his rhythm of late. Ovet the last three games, the former Tennessee Volunteers hot shot has averaged 20.0 points on 63.9 percent shooting from the floor and 63.2 percent from behind the arc. He will look to sustain that form when the Lakers head back to Hollywood to start a three-game homestand on Tuesday against the Utah Jazz.
