Los Angeles Lakers superstar Lebron James shocked NBA community on Monday when he released a teaser for an upcoming announcement, calling it as “decision”, a nod to his infamous “Decision” in 2010 when he left Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat.

The 2010 announcement kept basketball fans on the edge of their seats given his gravity and star level. Fittingly, it changed the landscape of NBA forever.

Most immediate reactions to the teaser circled around his announcement of a retirement tour. James will be 41 by December and this is going to be his 23rd year in case he suits up for the season. He is yet to play in the pre-season although he recently claimed that his love for the game is still in a high level.

“The things that still push me is the fact that the love of the game is still high. The love of the process is even higher,” he said in an interview with ESPN.

“That’s what continues to push me to play this game. I mean, it’s really that simple, you know.”

He also said in the show that he is not going to wait for second son Bryce who will be eligible for NBA draft by 2026.

Fans speculate about Lebron James’ teaser

While some fans brace for retirement announcement, most are not convinced. In an X survey conducted by reporter Kevin O’Connor, majority think it is for another issue entirely.

Betting sites, however, think it will be about retirement.

The decision is tomorrow but for now, fans are having a great time on the internet regarding James’ next move, turning it into a meme factory.

One user said he is retiring after seeing DeAndre Ayton‘s play in the pre-season.
