Lebron James dominated storylines after Sunday’s NBA games as he showed why he is among the greatest ever to play the sport. VJ Edgecombe is probably celebrating, too, after having the front row seat to this greatness.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers met on Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center and it was former who came out on top, 112-108, after a 4th quarter explosion from James.
Edgecombe is among the top rookies this year and is also one of the many players who weren’t born yet King James made his NBA debut in 2003. The third overall pick is the luckiest in that game despite the loss as he was the one who got bestowed James’ game-worn jersey.
He also gave an ultimate praise to the four-time champion.
“I’m still a kid, to be honest. That is my favorite player growing up, the only reason I started playing basketball,” the rookie said after the game.
“So to get his jersey means a lot to me, but I wanted to win. Would’ve felt much better if we won and then I got his jersey.”

How did VJ Edgecombe do versus Lebron?
Edgecombe said he is a kid but he has been playing like an adult since coming to the league. He put everyone on notice on his very first game in the pro level when he recorded the most points in a quarter on his debut when they torched the Boston Celtics.
The person he surpassed for that? No other than Lebron.

The two finally met and one can say that Edgecombe made a goof account of himself in line up that featured the 76ers Big 3 of Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey.
Edgecombe put up 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in around 38 minutes, the second most in the team. He also helped in limiting Austin Reaves to 11 points while also gaurding Luka Doncic.
