The recent fires that the city of Los Angeles has experienced have been a struggle to deal with for everybody, including some of the top celebrity names. According to CNN news, the coverage of the fires that the Palisades, Eaton and Hurst have ravaged is approximately 38,629 acres as of 2:30 a.m. ET.
LeBron James is among nearly everyone impacted in the Los Angeles region. Although James and his family didn’t have to evacuate their area, the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Charlotte Hornets last Thursday had to be postponed. Furthermore, the squad did not take a plane to San Antonio ahead of its matchup with the Spurs on Saturday. The league’s matchup with Victor Wembanyama and his team had to be postponed.

One of the victims of the fires has been Lakers head coach JJ Redick. Coach Redick and his family had to evacuate their home in Pacific Palisades, leaving their community behind. The former NBA player was devastated and revealed that it wasn’t easy for him and his family to deal with what they’ve had to experience.
“I was not prepared for what I saw,” Redick said. “It’s complete devastation and destruction. I had to go a different way to the house, but I went through most of the village, and it’s all gone. I don’t think you can ever prepare yourself for something like that. Our home is gone.”
This led LeBron James to share a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), praying for the wildfires to end soon.
“I pray this nightmare ends soon! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾. So many prayers,” James said.
