LeBron James co-founded the SpringHill Company with Maverick Carter in 2020. The production company recently signed a merger with another company, and the four-time NBA champion is ecstatic with the news.
Fulwell 73, the production company that partnered with SpringHill, was founded by Ben Winston, James Corden, Leo Pearlman, Ben Turner, and Gabe Turner in 2005. It has produced numerous shows, including “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” “The Kardashians,” and the Grammy Awards, among others.
Meanwhile, LeBron’s company, which has started to rise as one of the top production companies in the country, has produced a number of recognizable films, including “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” “Hustle,” and “Shooting Stars.”
LeBron James confirmed the merger between the two production companies on his Instagram stories. “Proud,” he captioned one of the posts, tagging the involved parties.

In an interview with “The Hollywood Reporter “ on Monday, Winston said that the partnership had “literally nothing to do with TV and entertainment.”
“We were meeting about a sports thing that we were maybe getting involved in. And in the parking lot, as we were getting into our cars, we started talking about the future of entertainment and where SpringHill was and where Fulwell was. And here we are, a year later,” Winston added.
Maverick Carter said that the discussions about the merger began over a year ago. He also said that SpringHill wanted to produce projects similar to what Fulwell did.
According to CNBC, Fenway Sports Group, RedBird Capital Partners, UC Investments, Nike, Epic Games, Main Street Advisors, and Eldridge Industries will all be a part of the group supporting the merger.

LeBron James starred in a number of SpringHill projects
Since they started producing movies and television series, LeBron James has worked on three SpringHill Company projects. One of them is a talk show called “The Shop.”
The show is taped in a barbershop setting, with company founders LeBron James and Maverick Carter talking to a variety of guests. Some of their well-known guests included actor Idris Elba, artist Jay-Z, and former United States president Barack Obama.

James also starred in the Warner Bros. movie “Space Jam: A New Legacy,” a standalone sequel to the 1996 film that starred Michael Jordan. In the film, LeBron plays a fictionalized version of himself alongside Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and various other Looney Tunes characters.
The four-time NBA champion also featured in “Shooting Stars,” a documentary film about his high school basketball career.
