LeBron James is looking forward to seeing Kendrick Lamar’s halftime performance at the Super Bowl this weekend. The rapper won big at last weekend’s Grammy Awards, and last year saw him come out on top of a feud against Drake.
With the Super Bowl just a few days away, King James looks more and more excited for Lamar’s halftime show. He expressed his excitement on Wednesday when he shared on his Instagram story a clip of he rapper’s Super Bowl LVI guest spot.
“He gone kill that s***!!!! Can’t wait,” James said in his caption as if reading it in the voice of former NFL linebacker Bart Scott.

The Super Bowl game is set to kick off on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time, with the halftime show expected to run at around 8:00 p.m., an hour and a half after the kickoff.

Drake takes a shot at LeBron James during his Australia concert
LeBron James has not openly come out and sided with rapper Kendrick Lamar in his beef with Drake, but the four-time NBA champion’s attendance at K-Dot’s “The Pop Out: Ken & Friends” show in June last year was seemingly enough for Drake to know which side he is on.

Late last year saw Drake cut a “Fighting Irish” freestyle that seemingly took a shot at King James. Then last week in his Australia concert, Drake threw another shade at LeBron by changing up the lyrics of his song “Nonstop” during the performance.
The song’s lyrics originally said, “Catch me ‘cause I’m goin’ outta there, I’m gone / How I go from 6 to 23 like I’m LeBron?” But in last week’s performance Drake changed up the second line to “How I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron, man.”

Some fans pointed out that Drake has a tattoo of LeBron, making his apparent potshot at the 21-time All-Star all the more surprising.

Last month, Drake allegedly invoked James’ name in his legal battle with Universal Music Group. In the alleged leaked screenshots, he said, “Me and Universal is like if Nike was funding a campaign about LeBron cheating on his wife,” Drake has since denied the legitimacy of the viral screenshots.

Only time will tell if Drake will try to steal the limelight from Kendrick Lamar between now and the Super Bowl by dropping a new diss track or if he will take another potshot at LeBron James.
