LeBron James credited his kids for his longevity in the game in a recent interview in the ‘GoJo and Golic’ show. James, who is now 40 years old, is definitely the senior-most player in the NBA currently. However, he has not shown any signs of slowing down, and seems to be only getting better with age.
In this NBA season, James is averaging 23.8 points in each game, while grabbing 7.7 rebounds and assisting 8.8 times in every matchup. In his most recent appearance for the Los Angeles Lakers, James managed to chalk up 18 points against the San Antonio Spurs, along with five boards and eight helpers.
“I think having three kids in my household has definitely kept me younger than my age and my sport. Obviously, I’m still a young man in life but I’m up there in the sport. Having the ability to work on my son everyday in LeBron Jr. and then also have my 17-year-old son, he’s a senior high school. Then, my 10-year-old daughter, who’s a volleyball player, they bring so much life into the household — well, Bronny has his own household now. But my other two kids, they’re still here so they give me a lot of life.” LeBron James said on the ‘GoJo and Golic’ show.
While LeBron James’ speed and agility might have slightly decreased with his age, his plays have been observed to get finer and more articulate. After James, Gabe Vincent at 28-years-old is the second-oldest player for the Lakers currently.
