The whole NBA league is on their toes after three personalities were charged for gambling related cases by the FBI and New York authorities. They are digging up many players’ activities in the past that might have a hint that they got involved in fixing games. Lebron James and Stephen Curry need to be careful after some fans resurfaced their tweets in the wake of the sweeping arrests.

In case you missed it, Miami Heat’s Terry Rozier has been arrested by the FBI for allegedly fixing a game back in 2023. Portland Trailblazers head coach Chauncey Billups was also charged with wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering conspiracy for his participation in rigging poker games using high technology.
While the scandal is serious, some found time to have fun on the internet and they are picking on James and Curry.

The Los Angeles Lakers star’s 2019 post was in reference to a Green Bay Packers game and was made in response to his high school friend Romeo Travis challenging him.
As for Curry, that was jus him and his brother having fun on the net. It was made in 2013 when Seth was still playing for Duke in college.
Lots of X users are joining the bandwagon.

Lebron James might be involved for real
James’ only connection to Wednesday gambling scandal is his former coach Damon Jones with whom he worked together from 2016 to 2018. Jones reportedly used his friendship with James to give some people he know an advantage in their betting choices.
This involves a game in February 2023 when the Lakers were about to meet the Milwaukee Bucks, days after James set the record for most points scored in NBA history.
The Athletic, quoting the investigators, alleged that Jones had insider info about that game and used it for betting.

“According to the indictment, Jones, a friend of James’ who was not an employee of the Lakers, sold or tried to profit from non-public information so that others could bet on it, including alleged co-conspirators Eric Earnest and Marves Fairley. It was about who would not be playing or if they would pull themselves out of games early,” the Athletic wrote.
It also clarified that James was not aware about what went down.
“A league source with knowledge of the situation told The Athletic that James was unaware that Jones shared information about his playing status.”
