LeBron James’ beef with Stephen A. Smith has been going on for a while now, and it definitely looks like it’s not over yet. Smith recently appeared on Carmelo Anthony’s podcast where he spilled some major tea on his opinions on who many consider to be the GOAT in basketball.
Smith did not hold back as he went on and on about James’ difference in personas, on the court and off the court. Meanwhile, Smith himself had plenty of respect for James’ wife, Savannah, and also his mom, Gloria.

“I happen to think that Savannah is the first lady of basketball. I think she’s wonderful. She’s just a wonderful, wonderful human being, and it actually breaks my heart that I could have done anything to make her upset. I call with Gloria, his mom, who has always been wonderful to me, wonderful people. I got nothing to say about them, I got nothing to say about Bronny, who I think could be an NBA player someday.” Stephen A. Smith said on the ‘7PM in Brooklyn’ podcast.

LeBron James was called out by Stephen A. Smith, especially with his decision to allow Bronny James to come to the NBA even before he was fully prepped and ready. Not only Smith, but many felt that it was wrong of Bronny to play in the NBA and called nepotism, especially since he had no major credentials before.
LeBron James felt slighted by Smith’s remarks and immediately appeared on the ‘Pat McAfee Show’ to call the veteran sports analyst out. This angered Smith even more, who felt that James should have appeared on his own show to discuss things tete-a-tete.

LeBron James Will Miss Season-Opener Against Warriors
On another note, LeBron James will not be on the court during the season-opener against the Warriors. James is reportedly struggling with sciatica, which makes him unable to play in the first game of the season. The player will undergo a re-evaluation for his injury a couple of weeks later, which will determine his future in the team this season.
While this leaves many fans disappointed, a large percentage also could not help but troll the situation. Certain fans felt that LeBron James was simply being dramatic and that he wanted to make a theatrical appearance this season. Others felt that the Lakers might simply trade James to another team soon.
