The Golden State Warriors’ impressive W over Orlando Magic on Monday night is not getting fan attention at all due to Draymond Green and Steve Kerr’s heated sideline argument. Now, fans dragged Stephen Curry into the already chaotic mess because of his pin-drop silence throughout Green-Kerr’s verbal segment.

Fans called out Curry on social media for his lack of leadership, pointing out how awkwardly he just stayed on the bench while his teammate stormed off to the locker room.
NBA Fans Call Out Stephen Curry for Not Stepping In During Draymond Green-Steve Kerr Clash
The viral verbal altercation occurred with 8:31 left in the third quarter. The Warriors trailed by five points, but tensions rose so high that Kerr and Green had to sit face-to-face, resembling a tense roundtable argument.
Moses Moody tried to calm Green down, and assistant coach Jerry Stackhouse stepped in, too. Exactly at that point, fans noticed Curry sat on the bench without saying a single word.
Fans were left in awe as Curry just watched his coach and teammate go at it. After exchanging final words with the coach, Green stood up and marched to the tunnel like an angry toddler.

The video has given the NBA community terrible optics from Curry’s position because many believe Green would never have fought with Curry if he had stepped in. Curry’s supporters are still processing their icon’s odd detachment.
“Steph Curry just sitting there minding his own business,” one fan wrote. “I’m not huge LeBron fan, but LeBron would have shut the argument down real quick.”
A second fan added, “Steph just sitting there like ‘bro just play the game.'”
Another noted, “Some leader Steph curry is sat there. Jordan would have lit draymond up.”
The fourth one remarked, “No surprise. What’s most disappointing and surprising to me is the fact Steph Curry sits there like a b—-.”
Another random X user penned, “Steph a great player but his leadership a– lol coaches gms and players are always beefin and he never say anything.”
The criticism echoes debates that have followed Curry throughout his career. Analysts have questioned his vocal leadership compared to other all-time greats. Stephen A. Smith famously called out Curry after a previous Green incident in December 2023.
“If this were a teammate of LeBron James, we’d be asking, ‘LeBron, what you gonna do about it?'” Smith said on First Take. “Somehow, someway, we never ask that question about the babyface assassin.”
LeBron has a reputation for holding teammates accountable publicly and privately. He’s gotten into it with coaches throughout his career — from Mike Brown to David Blatt to Luke Walton. But he’s also been the one to step between fighting teammates. He’s the voice that commands respect immediately.
Despite sitting at 15-15 after back-to-back wins, they’re still searching for consistency because this internal drama isn’t helping much. The franchise needs its superstar to step up vocally when chaos erupts, but Curry never did that.
Green is one of his best friends. Fans expected him to show some movement, but those fans were just dreaming.
