As she approaches free agency next season, Lexie Hull shared that she has serious concerns. As she closed her 2025 as one of the best standout players for the roster, she is looking to enter the 2026 season with a level of uncertainty.
During her exit interview, Fever star guard Lexie Hull got honest about her thoughts on entering free agency next year, and the uncertainty that comes with it.

“I’m a restricted free agent, which changes things a bit, but I’ve loved my years here in Indiana,” Hull said. “Obviously, with a lot of uncertainty, you don’t know what’s to come, but I’ve built a life here. I love this franchise. I love the people, the fans, so we’ll see.”

Hull has played all four of her seasons so far with the Indiana Fever, since she was drafted as the 6th overall pick during the 2022 draft.
During her exit interview, Hull also gave her thoughts on the ongoing CBA negotiations within the WNBA.
“We’re still headed forward and up,” she said. “The growth of the sport has shown you can’t set a bar because we continue to reach farther and expand. It’s so exciting to be a player at this pivotal time in the sport.”

Fever HC Credits Unrivaled for Lexie Hull’s Performance
Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White credited Lexie Hull’s offseason work in the Unrivaled three-on-three league for the transformation, saying Hull returned “a much more aggressive, assertive player” after the experience.

During the Fever’s exit interviews, coach White linked Hull’s enhanced confidence and assertiveness directly to the developmental opportunities provided by playing with and against elite talent in that summer competition.
“Lexie came back a much more aggressive, assertive player from Unrivaled,” White observed at Indiana’s exit interviews.
Despite a modest scoring rate in the Unrivaled league itself, the long-term benefits of that stint were evident in Hull’s elevated performance for Indiana, which also featured teammates who competed in Unrivaled, such as Aliyah Boston and NaLyssa Smith.
“She’s just a hard player to take off the floor because of how hard she plays, because of the fact that she plays on both ends,” acknowledged White. “She’s not just an energy player, she’s a toughness player. She does all of those things that you can’t teach.”
The Fever views Hull’s leap as a sign of continued growth from the fourth-year guard and a validation of offseason choices that prioritized skill development and competitive minutes.

For the 2025 season, Lexie Hull averaged 7.2 points per game, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.
