Indiana’s big win over the Aces in Game 1 came with a cost: there’s a chance Lexie Hull might not be out there when the series resumes. The Fever guard showed up on the injury list with back soreness, leaving her availability for Game 2 up in the air.
Hull admitted the grind of the season is starting to catch up.

“I’m a little sore, I’m not gonna lie,” she said after shootaround. “It’s catching up to me, but we’re just gonna keep getting warm, keep going out there and forget the pain a little bit.”
It’s easy to see why she feels it. In the opener, Hull logged tough minutes against Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, and even took turns on A’ja Wilson. She only finished with six points, two boards, two assists and a block, but the Fever were +24 when she was on the floor. Indiana’s defense swarmed, holding Las Vegas to under 30 percent from deep, and Hull’s hustle was a big reason.
“That would be a true backbreaker”: Analyst gives honest take on Lexie Hull’s possible absence in Game 2
Word of her injury spread quickly online. Broadcaster Robin Lundberg summed up the concern with a play on words:

“The Fever cannot withstand a Lexie Hull injury. That would be a true backbreaker.”

Durability hasn’t been an issue until now. Hull suited up in all 44 regular-season games and hasn’t missed a playoff contest, putting up averages of 8.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists.
Numbers aside, she’s the kind of player who does the dirty work — the kind coaches and teammates count on in big moments.
If she can’t go, Indiana’s depth will be tested. The Aces are already desperate to bounce back, and the Fever may have to face that challenge without one of their tone-setters.
