“Believe It Or Not”: Lexie Hull Gets Roasted By Twin Sister Lacie After Battling Scary Head Injury with Arm-Wrestle Joke

Lexie Hull returned to the court with a swollen forehead and a smile. After a scary head-to-head collision with Gabby Williams during the Indiana Fever’s win over the Seattle Storm, Hull’s toughness was praised across the league. But her twin sister Lacie Hull had other plans — she brought the jokes.

Sharing a photo of Lexie Hull postgame, Lacie posted on Instagram:

“Believe it or not, back in the day I was the one to win arm wrestles w @lexiehul.”

Of course, the comment was noticed faster than a fast break. The sisterly tone gave out all smiles to fans even as Lexie Hull briefly left the game post-collision. She did come back in the second quarter to set things straight and get the Fever another win. Her numbers that night was one of her, if not her, best of the season.

The knot on her forehead was hard to miss. Lexie Hull joked that she could see it in her peripheral vision and admitted she looked “insane” when teammates tried to reassure her she looked fine.

A gritty workhorse for the Fevers. That’s what Lexie Hull is at the moment. Considering that Indiana is nursing so many casualties at this stage, her just being there and doing her part has kept the team in the play. Her ability to bounce back, even with visible swelling, shows why she’s earned that respect.

Six. Games. Left. Not much farther at this point to drag this team by the nose straight onto the finish. Lexie Hull’s presence could be key to Indiana’s playoff push. So to Lacie: just keep those jokes coming.

Lexie Hull On Her Collision With Gabby Williams After Fever’s Win Against the Storm

Lexie Hull didn’t hold back when asked about her collision with Gabby Williams. The two guards ran into each other chasing a loose ball, and both ended up with visible bumps on their heads.

“Looking at the video, Gabby and I ran into each other, unfortunate, unlucky, I think we both have knots on our heads,” Lexie Hull said after the game.

Despite the swelling, Lexie Hull returned to the court and played over 23 minutes. Her teammates cheered her on, and the crowd gave her a loud welcome when she checked back in.

“Yeah, everyone’s (players on the bench) like, ‘You look beautiful!’ I was like, ‘I know I look insane.’ But it honestly looks better than it did when it first happened, so hopefully, this (swelling) goes down quick,” she added.

Lexie Hull’s quick return helped the Fever break a two-game losing streak. Her resilience stood out, especially with the team already missing key players. For Indiana, Lexie Hull’s toughness continues to be a driving force — even when the hits come hard.
