All because of Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever will soon become the fifth WNBA team to have their own performance center. As per recent reports, the Fever will start construction on a $78 million state-of-the-art training center, a stone’s throw from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Fever plays their home games.
Clark also shared the news on her Instagram, much to the surprise and delight of Indiana Fever fans. The center is likely to be completed by the 2027 WNBA season, and will feature two basketball courts, a fully-stocked weight room, multiple recovery areas and a beautiful courtyard for the players to relax in during their training. Former WNBA player, Lisa Leslie took to Instagram to commend Clark whose influence on the Fever has led to this cause.
“Wow!! The impact of @caitlinclark22 has really been a game changer!! Love it!!” Lisa Leslie wrote on her Instagram.
Caitlin Clark’s effect is not only limited to the Indiana Fever but also the WNBA as a whole. After Clark’s entry into the league, ratings for the WNBA have gone up by multiple times, and thousands of fans will throng the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in the upcoming season just to catch a glimpse of the basketball star.
