Angel Reese may be sidelined for the Chicago Sky, but she still found herself in the spotlight at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
The Sky forward dropped into GloRilla’s Instagram comments after the rapper shared photos from her red carpet appearance at the UBS Arena in New York. GloRilla rocked a matching one-piece and blazer with a chequered design, paired with white socks, black heels, and glasses.

“Brianna 😘,” she captioned the post.
Angel Reese wasted no time showing love, writing, “You look tf good.” Rapper Young Thug also chimed in with heart emojis.
Reese’s WNBA season, however, is likely finished after being ruled out against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday. That only adds more uncertainty to her future in Chicago following her blunt criticism of the franchise and hints she may seek a new team if the Sky don’t make significant upgrades.
“You Hung Your Star Player”: Mariah Rose Blasts Sky Over Angel Reese Suspension
Angel Reese entered her second season as Chicago’s franchise centerpiece, but her frustration with another losing campaign boiled over last week. In an interview with the Chicago Tribune, she called out the team’s lack of fight, even singling out veterans like Courtney Vandersloot while demanding a roster overhaul.
Her comments didn’t sit well with the organization. Reese was suspended for the first half of Sunday’s 80-66 loss to the Aces, a move that sparked backlash.
Among those rushing to her defense was Mariah Rose, daughter of former NBA guard Jalen Rose.

“Are y’all f****ng dumb? do you know that probably half, 50% and that’s being generous, of the people who bought tickets that game bought tickets so see Angel Reese,” Rose said on Monday. “You gonna suspend her for half a game for saying ‘he we suck’ for wanting to win?”
Rose compared Reese’s influence to LeBron James, who’s earned the nickname “LeGM” for shaping rosters throughout his career.
“LeBron James is literally nicknamed LeGM because if you are not performing up to LeBron James’ par… he will pack your bags himself and send you out of there,” Rose said.
She added that the Sky failed their own star.
“You’re the Chicago Sky… yet you hung your star player who is one of the polarizing figures in all of sports, people hate this girl, out to dry because you didn’t like the fact that she said you suck? you do!”
