With LeBron James sidelined by sciatica and Luka Doncic unavailable, Reaves assumed primary playmaking and scoring duties and delivered one of the most complete nights of his career, hitting six 3-pointers and finishing 12-of-22 from the field.
DeAndre Ayton added 22 points and 15 rebounds, and Rui Hachimura contributed 18 as the Lakers steadied themselves down the stretch despite a collective 3-point shooting night of 8-for-25 for the team.
The game offered a clear signal that Reaves’ steady ascent—from undrafted free agent to a 27-year-old on a four-year deal—has entered a new phase, with Redick’s public endorsement amplifying his rising profile and potential payday when he reaches free agency

The Lakers return home to face Portland with Austin Reaves expected to shoulder the offensive load until the team’s stars return from injury recovery.
