Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever have turned to a familiar WNBA face for support as injuries continue to pile up. On Saturday, the team signed former champion Aerial Powers to a seven-day hardship deal, giving her a chance to help keep Indiana’s playoff hopes alive.
Powers wasted no time reflecting on the full-circle nature of her return. After a fan reposted an image of her sitting alongside Clark and Aliyah Boston at the 2024 All-Star Skills Challenge in Phoenix, she replied with a simple, emotional reaction: “🥹🔥🥰.”

She also had fun with a clip from her All-Star vlog, captioning it on X with, “🤭🤣 full circle moment?” Now, she’ll actually get to suit up next to Boston — and eventually Clark, once the rookie guard recovers from her groin injury.
The Fever could use her presence. Indiana is still in the fight for a postseason slot, and if Caitlin Clark can return soon, her playmaking, paired with Powers’ scoring punch, would be a boost.
Powers had a brief stint with the Golden State Valkyries earlier this summer before being waived, leaving her a free agent until this opportunity. She’s expected to debut when Indiana travels to Minnesota on Sunday.
Caitlin Clark’s Off-Court Bet on Tommy Fleetwood
While Caitlin Clark remains sidelined, she hasn’t been shy about showing love for her other passion — golf. Ahead of Sunday’s Tour Championship, she threw her support behind Tommy Fleetwood, who’s chasing a massive $40 million payday.

“This has to be Fleetwood’s day,” Clark posted on X, showing confidence in the Englishman’s ability to finally break through.

Fleetwood has had chances to win big on the PGA Tour, but late-round struggles have held him back. Just this month at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, he led late before fading and missing out on a playoff spot.
Now, as Clark waits for her own return to the hardwood, she’s betting that Fleetwood’s moment is finally coming.
