Caitlin Clark’s influence goes far beyond the court — even to the point of possibly helping friends skip long lines at Topgolf.

On Wednesday night, Minnesota Lynx guards Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman — better known as StudBudz — were out in Minneapolis on a double date when they ran into a snag: a three-hour wait at Topgolf. Without a reservation, Williams had one hilarious solution.
“Call Caitlin Clark. Call Caitlin Clark right now,” she said, clearly only half-joking.
Of course, Clark was nowhere near Minnesota. The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year was with the Indiana Fever in Phoenix, gearing up for their game against the Mercury. But the moment still got laughs, especially considering Clark’s off-season love for golf — she even played in the Annika Pro-Am back in Florida.

“I am calling the president”: Studbudz’s first encounter off the court with Caitlin Clark
Back during All-Star Weekend in Indiana, their viral 72-hour livestream was one of the highlights off the court. Clark made an appearance during the stream, but before that, Hiedeman joked about how security at Gainbridge Fieldhouse had given her a hard time.
“All these people tackling me, they trying to tell me I can’t be here and there and they were stressing me out. So I was like I am calling the president (Clark),” Hiedeman said, getting a laugh from the chat.
Williams chimed in: “Caitlin had to help out StudBudz at All-Star.”

When Clark did pop up on their stream, she asked if the duo actually sleeps on camera. Williams, proudly, said “yup” and then hyped her up on the spot.
“We told y’all we was gonna have the baby goat on this bitch,” she said, flashing a grin.
The chemistry between Clark and the StudBudz has quickly become one of the W’s most entertaining side stories — a mix of genuine connection, good vibes, and just the right amount of chaos.
