Carmelo Anthony and La La Anthony might just be back on the couple’s list as they both see their son just tearing it up. Where basketball was so good that it patches up relationships.

A post from @TheDunkCentral, captioned “Melo and Lala,” showed the former couple sitting close, reacting to every possession, and celebrating Kiyan’s big plays together. And while it was just a simple clip of two parents enjoying their kid’s growth, others find it sweet and are already reading between the lines for them.

As an athlete himself, no father could be prouder than his own son taking up his mantle and going through the same hard path. Carmelo Anthony is getting a glimpse of the possible future that Kiyan may have and it would make a grown man cry. But no proud father moment would be complete without the mother seeing it with her own eyes, too. And that’s exactly what’s happening with La La next to Melo reacting in sync.

It’s not like there was a lot of bitterness to begin with. Carmelo Anthony and La La have always maintained a positive co-parenting relationship since the split. So while the bridge is no longer being crossed, the bridge still stands. And now, seeing their son raise his profile to new heights, the prospect of crossing the bridge is there.

Carmelo Anthony and La La forming a united front most certainly adds this boost to Kiyan’s own on-court performance. No doubt in the fans’ minds that the Anthony patriarch’s presence in games add a little more weight but lifts other burdens.

With Kiyan continuing to turn heads and Carmelo Anthony staying active in guiding him, these courtside appearances will only grow more common, and fans will keep watching every moment they share as a family.

Fans React As Carmelo And La La Anthony Sit Courtside Together Again

The clip of Carmelo Anthony and La La Anthony sitting together at Kiyan’s game quickly turned into a fan-reaction event of its own. The comments came fast, funny, and full of nostalgia. @PrizePicks kicked it off with, “@TheDunkCentral @NBA_NewYork kiyan hooping so well his divorced parents about to get back together.”

From there, the jokes kept rolling. @37DSW37 added, “@TheDunkCentral @NBA_NewYork Melo acting like he’s breaking down the game, but he’s really breaking down memories.”

Another fan, @N1ckvibes, wrote, “@TheDunkCentral @NBA_NewYork Melo going through flashback of the good ol times.”

Moments like these are why Carmelo Anthony still draws so much attention. He doesn’t need to be in an NBA arena to trend. Just showing up to support Kiyan turns into a full social media highlight reel. Fans love seeing him in dad mode, and seeing him alongside La La brings back a bit of the old days, whether the two like it or not.

This reaction also shows how invested people are in Kiyan’s growth. Every time he puts on a strong performance, the cameras find Carmelo Anthony, and the internet grabs every detail of how he reacts. The fans have paired the two stories together: Kiyan rising and Carmelo returning to the spotlight as a parent.

While the reunion jokes are made in fun, one thing is real—both Carmelo Anthony and La La show up for their son with full energy, and fans genuinely enjoy seeing that unity. As long as Kiyan keeps shining, expect the reactions, the memes, and the warm comments to continue every time Carmelo Anthony appears at courtside.
