Geno Auriemma has not shown any signs of slowing down and is still coaching beautifully at 70 years. Auriemma has been coaching the UConn Huskies since 1985 and has produced dozens of greats through his training. As a coach, he has taken his team to the NCAA Championships a whopping 11 times and was named Naismith Coach of the Year eight times.
Meanwhile, Joe Mazzulla started out his coaching career in 2011 as an assistant coach for Glenville State. He landed his first NBA coaching gig with the Boston Celtics as an assistant in 2019. After working with the team as an interim head coach in the 2022 NBA season, Mazzulla was promoted to head coach and won the championship last year.
