Sophie Cunningham sent fans into a frenzy once again, this time dapping up with Lexie Hull in full cowboy fits ahead of the Indiana Fever’s final West Coast road trip against the Phoenix Mercury on Thursday. The duo rocked matching light-yellow crop tops stamped with “Howdy Cowboy,” paired with the right denim shorts and cowboy boots—all pure Sophie.

Cunningham and Hull, both dubbed as the nearly-perfect lookalikes by fans, brought their daring OOTD to the pregame hallway, even catching the attention of the photographers and the WNBA. The league, on their X/Twitter post, wrote “Twinning” as the two passed the fit vibe. Even teammate Aliyah Boston got their attention, with Sophie hooting: “Cuties.”
This made Sophie Cunningham, former Mercury guard, simply explain what’s up behind the cowboy suit, saying, “Just two cowgirls, that’s it.” Meanwhile, Hull added, “Last trip of the West Coast.” Fans couldn’t get enough of the duo’s perfect “nergy—na”ling both on and off the court.

“@sophaller and @lexiehulll are the eye catchers of the @wnba,” one fan commented. “They are simply wild and crazy! Just love them!”
“They should dress up like the twins from the shining for Halloween,” one added.
“Lmao This wins the best fit of the year,” one wrote.
“Look like two number 2 pencils,” one commented.

However, Sophie Cunningham’s vibes didn’t end very well for the Fever. After all, Phoenix outright stunned them, 95-60, thanks to their unforgiving defense, and perhaps revenge after DeWanna Bonner, former Indiana veteran, never had a nice welcome at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Still, Cunningham did her best for the team, surprisingly leading them with 18 points, two rebounds, and two assists, showing up at the crucial point.
Phoenix HC praises Sophie Cunningham’s role in Indiana
Sophie Cunningham might’ve left the Phoenix Mercury during the offseason, but this didn’t prevent head coach Nate Tibbetts from speaking highly of Cunningham’s “enforcer” role in the Indiana Fever.
“I think when you come in this league — again, I’m learning this league as a second-round pick — you’ve got to have to have some toughness and grit to you,” Tibbetts told reporters before the Fever’s Thursday game against the Mercury. “She’s embraced that role, and it’s worked for them. And so I give Sophie credit, because she competes at a high level.”
Nate Tibbetts told @Boomskie that he isn’t surprised about Sophie Cunningham sticking up for Caitlin Clark.

Sophie Cunningham once made headlines after defending her teammate, Caitlin Clark, after being blindsided by Jacy Sheldon and the Connecticut Sun last June. Late in that game, Cunningham made sure to pay back by grabbing Sheldon to the ground, gaining the fans and the Fever’s approval.
