Los Angeles Clippers had a haul over the summer. They got four notable players after losing Norman Powell who was their second topscorer last season. They got Chris Paul Back, signed Bradley Beal and then beefed up their frontcourt with John Collins and Brook Lopez. These guys will provide strong support for Kawhi Leonard and James Harden.

Ivica Zubac was the main big man last season. He played 80 games out of 82 and recorded career highs in almost all statistical category. Still, he was not enough in the playoffs when he had to deal with three-time MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.
This is the reason why he is happy with the addition of Collins who they got from the Utah Jazz through a four-team trade. Zubac even thinks they could have used him in that series that went to seven games.
“I like him a lot. I always like to play with another big — a four man — more,” he told Clutch Points’ Tom Azarly when asked about the arrival of Collins.

“That was maybe one thing that we missed the most last season, just having like a real power forward. Going against Denver, who was a little bigger than us, I think that was one of the things that we needed and I’m really glad we got him. I think he’s going to be huge for us.”
Los Angeles Clippers’ big man line up
Collins is not the only big man addition for the Clippers. They also got Brook Lopez as a free agent from the Milwaukee Bucks.
Zubac hails the 2021 title winner’s arrival saying they could use his experience.
“I was very excited when we signed him,” Zubac said in the same interview.

“Brook’s an amazing player and he’s been in the league forever. He’s one of the best defensive bigs in the last I don’t know how many years.”
The team still has Nicolas Batum who was also effective at 4 and 5 spot. They also have Derrick Jones Jr. and Patrick Baldwin Jr. who may hold the frontcourt forth from time to time.
