At this point in his career, it’s not really surprising that Los Angeles Clippers star James Harden is already talking about his legacy in the NBA. According to the former league MVP, he would like to be remembered by fans as a “winner.”
One man who has no problem stepping on this said legacy is ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith. In a recent tirade, the polarizing broadcaster went all-in on Harden as he shared his honest view on the 10-time All-Star’s contribution to the game — or rather, the lack thereof.

A recent Harden interview has been making its rounds all over social media. In it, the 34-year-old spoke honestly about wanting leave a lasting impact on the game by the time he leaves it behind. Stephen A. caught wind of the statement and he just could not help but provide his unfiltered reaction to the same:
“It might be the most embarrassing quote that James Harden has ever given about himself,” Smith said. “… There are a multitude of occasions where the narrative in the basketball community was that he quit. How can you be perceived as a winner?”

To be fair, Smith has no doubt in his mind that Harden is a phenomenal basketball player. What Stephen A. takes issue with is the fact that Harden supposedly quit on his team — and it wasn’t just once that he did so.
