The Los Angeles Clippers have dropped to a 4-11 record, following last night’s 129-101 loss to the Orlando Magic. But more than their losing skid, the team is facing a bigger problem.

James Harden is carrying the Los Angeles Clippers, who have been without Kawhi Leonard and Bradley Beal. As a result, his numbers have improved this season, but so have his minutes, leaving head coach Ty Lue concerned.
“We don’t want that,” Lue said about Harden’s heavy workload via SI’s Joey Linn. “I think we had to, but he just had to do too much for us to be successful to try to win games, to try to stay afloat while Kawhi was out. So we don’t want James to have to do that all year.”

Harden led the Los Angeles Clippers in scoring yesterday, contributing 31 points, five rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and five three-pointers on 8-for-16 shooting from the field and 10-for-12 shooting from the charity stripe in 31 minutes.
Los Angeles Clippers News: Ty Lue dishes on Kawhi Leonard’s injury status
During the pregame press conference yesterday, Ty Lue was asked about Kawhi Leonard’s recovery, and the Los Angeles Clippers head coach sounded unsure about when Leonard would be able to return.

“He did a few things… he’s definitely gotten better. I mean, I don’t know how long it’s gonna be. But he’s definitely gotten better. Just seeing him on the floor yesterday was really good to see,” Lue said of Leonard via Law Murray of The Athletic.
The Los Angeles Clippers continue their seven-game road trip with games against the Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Los Angeles Lakers before they return home next Saturday to host the Memphis Grizzlies.
