Los Angeles Lakers fall to the Golden State Warriors in their second pre-season game as they continue to miss Lebron James and Luka Doncic. The Warriors had Stephen Curry who played 15 minutes and scored 14 points while Moses Moody led everyone in scoring with 19.

Pre-season games don’t mean that much as they are more for sizing up the squad and what they need to improve. This is why Lakers head coach JJ Redick is not worried. In his evaluation, they achieved what they came for.
“Like you saw that competitive level that you were looking for. Much better,” Redick told reporters after the game.
“Part of what we’re trying to do is do it consistently over and over and over. We played about 38 minutes of good basketball.”
There’s one thing he wants his players to keep an eye on though. That is staying focused.

“They finished on a 10-0 run and then I’m not sure what was going on at the start of the third quarter,” he said about the first half.
“Outside of those two stretches, I thought we played much better.”
Los Angeles Lakers rotation still up for grabs
Pre-season games are sort of audition, too. Redick said his rotation is yet to be finalized and his players need to earn their spot.
“Everything’s going to have to be earned,” he said.
“We started 24 lineups last year. The lineup that started the season for us started eight games together, and we made a change. I’m of course open to things.”

Right now, James, Doncic, and Austin Reaves are shoo-in starters. Names thrown in for the starting frontcourt are Rui Hachimura and summer signing DeAndre Ayton.
Redick played 14 players in the first two pre-season games
They will have a rematch with the Warriors on October 12 and another one with the Suns on October 14. They will then meet the Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings.
