Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick has received praise from Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George because the Purple and Gold are off to a decent start this season. Under Redick, the Los Angeles Lakers are off to a 4-3 start and have the sixth-best offensive rating in the NBA (115.2).

“I think his start has been very impressive,” George said about Redick on the latest episode of his Podcast P show. “That team has bought into him. They trust him and they believe in him. I think that’s one of the biggest things, especially when you have a megastar like LeBron and Anthony Davis on your side, and those guys buy into you from the jump. It says a lot about his presence there.”
Before JJ Redick took over, the Los Angeles Lakers went 0-5 under Darvin Ham during his first season in charge and didn’t reach four wins until his 14th game. The team started the 2024-25 campaign with a three-game winning streak before going 1-2 in their last three.

After consecutive losses against the Phoenix Suns and the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Los Angeles Lakers secured a 131-125 road win over the Toronto Raptors. However, it was followed up with a 115-103 defeat against the Detroit Pistons last Monday.
Los Angeles Lakers’ Anthony Davis is dealing with a foot injury
Anthony Davis has been virtually unstoppable for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, and his superb form continued against the Detroit Pistons, as he recorded 37 points, nine rebounds, and four assists on 13-for-23 shooting from the field and 11-for-14 from the free throw line.

However, Davis struggled to move on the court late due to a foot injury, and he revealed that he had been dealing with the knock since the summer.
“I don’t know. I mean, I’ll talk to the trainers, well my trainer, and figure out what exactly is going on. I’ve been managing it since this summer honestly and trying to do everything before the game to be on the floor. Kinda just landed directly on the spot that’s been killing me. So we’ll figure it out,” Davis said via Spectrum SportsNet.
