LeBron James put on a show during the Los Angeles Lakers’ 142-111 road win against the Washington Wizards on Friday night, as the four-time league MVP attacked the rim with ferocity.
One of James’ dunks that went viral happened with less than seven minutes in the second period, as he threw down Deandre Ayton’s errant alley-oop pass from the free throw line using his off hand. The Los Angeles Lakers forward also did a reverse dunk from Marcus Smart’s pass in the third period and a lefty slam on Alex Sarr’s head in the fourth quarter.
“That was terrible,” Ayton said about his alley-oop pass to James in the second quarter via the LA Times. “I told JJ, I said, ‘If it was not LeBron James at the end of that alley-oop, I’d be right there sitting next to you!’ And he started laughing. It’s just a fact, ‘cause I’m like, ‘Yo, I threw the ball out of bounds.’ It was one of those things you see on Bleacher Report, where LeBron does some spectacular things, and that was one of them.”
In the blowout victory, James contributed 20 points, three rebounds, six assists, and two steals on 8-for-16 shooting from the field in 30 minutes of action.

Los Angeles Lakers News: JJ Redick praises Luka Doncic’s mentality vs. Washington Wizards
The Los Angeles Lakers got off to a brisk start against the Washington Wizards, as Luka Doncic set the tone. The Slovenian floor general poured in 16 points in the opening period and ultimately finished with 37 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists, three steals, and six three-pointers on 13-for-21 shooting from the field across 31 minutes.
“It’s remarkable. This is the second time it’s happened in his career. I think he just came out again with the right mentality, the right mindset. And I do want to reiterate just how decisive he was in everything he did,” Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick said of Doncic via Spectrum SportsNet.
“And really just bent the defense, and obviously, to get the defensive rebounds and get a triple-double is fantastic. The way Luka started the game was the perfect type of aggression, which was I’m gonna hunt and try to create advantages, and he was very decisive with that,” he added.
