Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James recently brushed off Baxter Holmes’ bombshell article about his supposed fallout with Jeanie Buss since 2022, when he spoke to reporters after their 112-104 loss against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday evening.
“When I came to this organization, my whole mindset was about restoring excellence,” James told ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “So, my whole mindset was like, how can I get that feeling back to the Lakers organization? I was able to do that along with, you know, 14, 16 other guys winning the championship, bringing the championship here. That’s always been my mindset.”
“Quite frankly, I don’t really care about articles,” he added. “I really don’t. I don’t care about stories. I don’t care about podcasts and all that type of s**t. Nah, they don’t bother me. I’m 41 years old, and I watch golf every day. I don’t care about an article. I don’t care how somebody feels about me. If you know me personally and you know what I’m about, (my teammates) know what I’m about, and that’s all that matters… I can care less how somebody feels about me.”
Speaking of the game last night, James contributed 23 points, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals on 9-for-19 shooting in 36 minutes of action. The Los Angeles Lakers tried to mount a late comeback against their interstate rivals, but were fended off.

Los Angeles Lakers News: JJ Redick expresses his appreciation for LeBron James anew
Before the Los Angeles Clippers match, Los Angeles Lakers head coach shared his appreciation of LeBron James while doubling down on James’ positive relationship within the organization.
“Everybody in this organization appreciates LeBron and appreciates what he’s done for the Lakers. He’s carried on the legacy and also, truthfully, the burden of being a superstar for the Los Angeles Lakers for eight years, and he’s done it with class,” Redick said of James.
“And personally, I’ve enjoyed coaching him at the highest level – 10 out of 10. That’s not to say LeBron and I don’t have our disagreements, but I know with that guy, he’s going to put everything into this. And it’s been awesome to coach,” he added.
