Los Angeles Lakers guard Marcus Smart admitted he hadn’t heard from LeBron James since joining the team earlier this week, leaving fans to wonder whether James is involved with the move or not.

According to an anonymous Los Angeles Lakers source, the delay of contact with Smart is a non-issue, as James is merely enjoying his vacation with his loved ones.
“He’s on vacation,” the Los Angeles Lakers source explained via Hoops Wire. “Calm down. LeBron is allowed to enjoy his summer. He doesn’t have to be about us (the Lakers) and basketball all the time. He’ll connect with Marcus when he’s back.”

James was recently seen enjoying his downtime with his wife, Savannah, and Maverick Carter, bopping with Kendrick Lamar’s famous “Not Like Us” track on the beach (probably in Monaco).

“I can try to anticipate it. I have no idea, but I could definitely tell and say that I’m expecting a lot of boos. I’m expecting a lot of hate, and it’s okay. I understand it,” Smart stated.
“It’s an honor, you know. I was telling my wife, to be able to play for one of the most historical franchises, let alone to play for two, and to be here in purple and gold is a dream. I wish my mom were there to be able to see this, but it’s exciting. It’s definitely something that, being in the East with Boston, I probably never would have thought of. But once I left, it became a possibility, and I wanted to make sure it happened,” he added.
