The Los Angeles Lakers recently assigned Bronny James to the G League after making his first start of the season against the Milwaukee Bucks in a 119-95 win, and the 21-year-old guard will use this opportunity to continue to improve his game.

“The league is meant to develop players. So I’m coming down here with an open mind. I’m not going down here with a negative mindset like I’m being sent down to a lesser level,” James said. “I’m just going down, and I’m trying to better myself every game and every play. I can take advantage of that here, so keep doing that.”
“I’m trying to focus now on bettering myself off the ball. Me and JJ have talked about all the ball handlers on the parent team, so I have to learn how to be effective off the ball. Have a .5 mentality,” he added.

In 10 regular season games, James averaged 2.1 points and 1.8 assists on a woeful 29.6 percent shooting from the field and 27.3 percent from three-point land across 11.1 minutes per game.
