Former Los Angeles Lakers big man Dwight Howard still believes that he can play in the NBA – particularly for the Purple & Gold franchise, Anyone who has been following Howard on social media knows that he wants to suit up for the Lakers again even though that boat has probably sailed.
During a recent episode of Howard’s “Above The Rim With DH12” podcast, Howard made a hilarious plea for Lakers owner Jeanie Buss to give him another shot at wearing Los Angeles colors.
“I’m [still] in shape for basketball, so Jeanie give me one more chance,” Howard said while singing a line to Buss.
Jeanie tells Dwight Howard he could’ve returned to the Lakers after the 2020 championship 👀

Several years later, he played for them again during the 2019-20 campaign when he also won his first and only NBA right to date. Then after playing in Taiwan, Howard returned to the Lakers for the 2021-22 season.
Howard averaged 10.7 points and 8.8 rebounds plus 1.5 blocks across 205 games (105 starts) for the Lakers.
Fans react to Dwight Howard begging Los Angeles Lakers’ Jeanie Buss to give him another chance

“If for nothing else he’s a great vet and locker room guy. Him and Javale played a big part in that teams chemistry”
“It was definitely said they wanted to resign him , but they tried to get the other moves secured first. And Dwight didn’t want to wait a few days so he got mad and signed with Philly.”
“I honestly do believe that Dwight would be a better big or backup big than wood or hayes. Havent seen him play for a couple years but shit we need a big body board grabbing center that can catch lobs . Just imo though”
“Y’all said LAL needs to trade for a big center, but there’s already a perfect fit in front of them only for a vet min”
“Sign him back!! He’s better than any young centers who has big contracts and inexperienced in championship”
