Even after his untimely demise, Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant still left a lot of impact on the league. Caron Butler, his former teammate, shared one insane story about the late Black Mamba and how wild he can get during a game.
Bryant’s basketball legacy was cemented early on, as the young shooting guard made history by becoming the youngest NBA All-Star in 1998 at just 19 years old. His rise to stardom started when he teamed up with superstar center Shaquille O’Neal, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a three-peat from 2000 to 2002.

Even after the All-Star big man’s departure in 2004, Bryant continued to shine, carrying the Lakers to the NBA Finals in 2008 and earning the league’s Most Valuable Player award. The following year, Bryant led his team to the championship, defeating the Orlando Magic. He would replicate that same feat a year later when the Purple and Gold defeated the Boston Celtics to win his fifth ring.
Although Bryant faced injuries later in his career, his determination never wavered. He returned in time for the 2015-2016 season, but struggled alongside his young teammates. Undeterred, the late All-Star announced his retirement at the end of that season. In his final game, he delivered a spectacular performance, scoring 60 points and leading his team to victory against the Utah Jazz, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players in NBA history.
