Is LeBron James The Reason Los Angeles Lakers Are Down 3-1 vs. Nuggets? Skip Bayless Thinks So

Even at his age, LeBron James does things on the court most players in the league couldn’t even achieve. But for Skip Bayless, the All-Star forward is the biggest reason why the Los Angeles Lakers are down 3-1 against the Denver Nuggets.

In the most recent game of the series, Los Angeles went home with the 119-108 win against the defending champions. James took charge of the Lakers by dropping 30 points on 60 percent shooting from the field, five rebounds, and four assists. Anthony Davis has a monster performance of 25 points and 23 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves each had 21 points to help the Purple and Gold win their first game against Denver in around 2 years.

For his part, All-Star big man Nikola Jokic did his best to get the dub for Denver by posting 33 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists. Michael Porter Jr. finished the game 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Jamal Murray contributed 22 points, six rebounds, and five assists.

Los Angeles’ win snapped their 11-game losing streak against the Nikola Jokic-led Nuggets. More importantly, James and the Lakers prevented elimination from the playoffs as they get to play another day against Denver.

Skip Bayless Claims LeBron James is the Reason Los Angeles Lakers Are Down 3-1 Against Denver Nuggets

After the game, various reactions came out on social media regarding the Lakers’ Game 4 win. Among those who gave their take was Undisputed host Skip Bayless:

“It was shameful that LeBron had lost 7 straight playoff games to the Nuggets – including so many pathetic 4th quarters by him. Tonight he was able to front-run with a comfortable lead in the 4th … that’s when he’s at his greatest,” Bayless tweeted.

“Can the Lakers win Monday night in Denver? They could’ve won Game 1 in the 4th quarter … if LeBron hadn’t checked out … and they should’ve won Game 2 in the 4th … LeBron missed a wide-open unguarded 3 for the win,” he added.

While Bayless is known for hating on James, his thoughts about the Lakers’ previous games might be valid. In any case, the Lakers’ All-Star is already doing more than most guys in LA’s lineup, which may be too much for someone turning 40 this year.

Nevertheless, the Lakers are still alive in this series against Denver. Whether they overcome a 3-1 deficit in the coming days will fall squarely on James’ shoulders.
