Rumors have been going around that LeBron James is leaving the Los Angeles Lakers after a disappointing playoff run with them. But for Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, that won’t be happening anytime soon.

Before this season started, the LeBron James-led Lakers surprised everyone during the previous playoffs when they reached the Western Conference Finals. However, the found themselves being swept by the Denver Nuggets before they won the championship last year.

Fast forward to the present and Los Angeles was eliminated again by the Nuggets. This time, though, it occurred in the first round after the Lakers went through the Play-In Tournament to secure a playoff spot. The elimination somehow opened up a new host of problems for the franchise with James’ future with the team the most prominent among them.

Along with that predicament, the Lakers will have to figure out who the next head coach is after rumors of Darvin Ham’s termination is getting stronger by the day. There’s also the apparent need to draft Bronny James as a way of keeping the services of his father. In any case, there’s always the danger that the four-time NBA champion will bolt the team sooner than expected.

While a lot of speculations are running wild right now, there are some who believe James will stay put in LA. Among those who feel this way is Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green in a video shared by The Volume on X:

Over the past few years, Green has grown close to James off the court. Even though they’ve battled it out in several NBA Finals showdowns, the Warriors star may know something everybody else doesn’t about the King’s preferences for next season.

James will have until the end of June to make a decision on whether to take his player option or enter free agency. In any case, it’s going to be a long wait for fans of the Lakers star.
