Los Angeles Clippers point guard and former Los Angeles Lakers star Russell Westbrook recently turned head when he was observed liking a photo of a report by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski about the Los Angeles Lakers getting spurned by Dan Hurley.

Westbrook had an intriguing stint with the Lakers, who acquired him via a trade from the Washington Wizards back in 2021. In nearly full two seasons with the Lakers, Westbrook averaged 17.4 points, 6.9 rebounds,m and 7.2 assists through 130 games. It was an up-and-down tenure with the Purple & Gold franchise for Westbrook, who then signed with the Los Angeles Clippers after his trade to the Utah Jazz and subsequent release in 2023.
Westbrook, who will turn 36 in November, is entering a crucial summer, as he has yet to decide on his player option worth $4.027 million for the 2024-25 NBA campaign.
In 68 games this season with the Clippers, Westbrook put up averages of 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists while shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from behind the arc.
Fans react to former Los Angeles Lakers point guard’s social media action

Fans online are having a great time talking about Westbrook’s perceived subtle schadenfreude (?):
“Buddy is still mad we traded him”
“A vampire never loses its fangs”
“he’s knows Lakers are cooked 🤣”
“Showing love to their latest downfall.”
“Russell “F*ck the Lakers” Westbrook”
“Not being petty… I’m a Lakers fan since the 80s and Lebron has been an organization and coach killer for every other team except the Heat and for what a championship here and there? He decimates rosters and coaches..no one wants to coach here while he is still here”
“W that Russ did this but Hurley hype needs to go away. I don’t think he’s a good coach , never even heard of him. His players are good so he looks good”
