Kyrie Irving can’t help but drop another explosive rant during his recent Twitch stream. This time, he targeted celebrity culture with conspiracy-laced rhetoric that left the NBA community scratching their heads.

Irving claimed the world is a staged performance filled with fake celebrities. He suggested many famous people aren’t even real humans but actors playing roles. His remarks led to needless chatter online immediately, with folks roasting the eight-time All-Star for his out-there takes.

Kyrie Irving Calls Out Celebrity Actors Pretending to Be Human

Irving dropped his latest hot take while rehabbing from his ACL injury. The 32-year-old guard went off on modern celebrity worship with visible frustration.

“This whole celebrity idea is eroding. The whole fame idea is eroding. That shit was sold to us, y’all,” Irving said to kick off the celebrity segment.

He then made his most eyebrow-raising claim, stating, “You got people out here that are human that are acting every day of their life. They’re not even real.”

Irving continued his Shakespeare-meets-conspiracy theory spiel by invoking the theatrical metaphor, describing celebrities as terrible performers on life’s grand stage. According to him, they are utterly detached from authenticity. The Mavs star added that many public figures live on autopilot, comparing them to NPCs in a video game.

The guard then challenged anyone lacking a moral backbone to step aside. Irving argued that people unable to stand on their principles while trying to improve the world should move out of the spotlight. He also questioned why athlete salaries face constant public scrutiny compared to CEOs.

Seems like Irving is now on familiar ground, talking about media manipulation and authenticity. This time, though, he went further than usual. However, his dramatic claims about fake celebrities gave fans plenty to mock.

    NBA Fans Unleash Savage Criticism

Hoops fans across social media platforms torched Irving for what they viewed as tired conspiracy babble dressed up as deep thinking.

One fan didn’t mince words, penning, “I want what he’s smoking.”

Another fired off, “Kyrie IS crazy. He is a low iq brainwashed nutcase. Anybody thinking otherwise should be evaluated by a healthcare professional lol.”

A third fan kept it simple, penning, “Def could be. Kyrie is batshit crazy.”

The fourth added, “How dumb do you have to be to fall for Kyries bs? He’s full of shit.”

A fifth fan noted, “He is a walking cringe who pretends he is ‘unusual’, saying such cliche things, being very stupid and ignorant.”

Irving has built a reputation for controversial takes throughout his career, and those fans’ reactions are a reflection of that because he added unnecessary gasoline to the fire.

However, he is now at home recovering from his ACL tear and is reportedly expected to be back around soon. Until then, fans can expect more stream sessions filled with Irving’s cliche worldview.
